Get dirty laundry off the floor with a laundry tower. How to at Red Hen Home. I already have a laundry sorter, but this would be great for sorting clothes as you take them out of dryer and fold them. Then kids come get their basket and put clothes away.
a cool idea to save floorspace in the room I'm starting to remodel into my home office, I could tuck an office like this into the current closet in that room and have more room for a relaxing lounge area/ Great idea for a tween/teen girl's bedroom for a study area. Another option if my budget gets too tight to do a more "elegant" office.
Simple built-ins to create a mudroom or storage anywhere from a kids room to a laundry room by adding shelves or a deeper bench for sitting. Or instead of custom, buy two thrify store bookcases and paint them, bolt them to your wall and add wainscotting between them. Then pick up a thift store bench and cut it to fit. Add the hooks and you're set. - interiors-designed.com
Shoe cubbies for boots and for regular shoes. I really like the tall lower cubby for bigger shoes (boots). And a smaller one above (though I would not think that any shoes would actually make it up to that. My family just kicks their shoes off, so they'd get "kicked" into the boot cubby)
