timeline idea- Clothespins and twine!
Timeline clothespins: This would work in social studies for events or language arts to sequence events in a story or book.
Game idea. What a great way to do a timeline. Different groups could be responsible for certain periods of time. Use gospel art pictures and student favorite scripture stories and let them test knowledge of Book of #Mormon dates.
FOR YOU, DEB! I've got clothespins for you in my room too. Could use for socials (history), science (processes), or language arts (story timeline). What a great way to do a timeline. Different groups could be responsible for certain periods of time. When it's all finished, invite another class in to see what has been learned!
i like this! how fun would it be to make a gigantic map display (i'm talking wide open hallway size) where each student researches a state and labels it with several illustrations that represent that state (like this but more), then all states get pieced together to form a dazzling visual map.. oooh!
love. this would be so fun and colorful.

WILD TURKEY: A NATIVE CALIFORNIA BIRD? All California checklists and avifaunas to date have considered the Wild Turkey Meleagris gallopavo to be a non-native introduced species in the State, and a fairly recent one at that. Grinnell & Miller (1944), for example, did not even include it on the state list, relegating it to a "supplemental list" in the back along with other non-established gamebirds like Silver Pheasant and Eastern Bob-white... .

They may not understand everything he is saying but afterwards we could summarize as a class. We would explain to students that this is the moment when Thanksgiving was declared a holiday.
