Right after using George Foreman grill, unplug it and place a wet double-sheet of paper towel between the lid and the surface. The leftover heat causes the towel to steam and clean the grill. Wiping it dry with another paper towel is all that’s needed - this is what I do and it works great!

New Uses for Old Things: Kids Edition

When you paint a room, put some extra paint in a baby jar* and keep it handy for quick touch-ups. pinner said *I did this Aug. 2011 - don't use a baby food jar - use a peanut butter jar that has a PLASTIC lid or it will rust - that was a tip from my painter - it's all stored in a cabinet in the house - just take it out and shake well and use a q-tip for quick touch ups. This has got to be one of the best things I've ever pinned!!!!

Those packages of pre-sliced apples you can buy at store are great for a healthy snack on the go but the price can add up. Make your own by slicing apples, soak in cold water for 3-5 minutes, then soak in a lemon-lime carbonated soda (such as 7-up or sprite) for 3-5 minutes. Divide into snack size portions and store in Ziploc bags in the fridge. The lemon-lime soda will keep the apples from browning and make them last longer.
