"I think I clocked this around 40-45 hours of my life." -- CC, on coloring this page of TEAHOUSE. Given the way the page looks, I'd say that's time well spent. (Visit www.teahousecomic.com to see more--NSFW.)

Mark Waid demonstrates the storytelling potential of digital comics with his short story "Luther." Imagine the possibilities when creators fully embrace the format.

Prince of Cats is done entirely in gouache! The choice of medium really changes the feel of this webcomic. Somehow, it's softer and more emotional.

Babies! Pinup of the Teahouse lead characters as young children. Given that this webcomic is about the people who work in a brothel called The Teahouse, it's very NSFW.

The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal is one of my favorite webcomics. It's the story of two men (strangers) who embark on a cross-country road trip, and the relationship that develops between them on their journey. There are many great silent moments in this comic, and this is one of my favorites. Be warned if you decide to check out the rest of the story - NSFW.
