✮ The sun rises over Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina Love love love it!

Chichen Itza is an ancient Mayan city buried deep in the Mexican jungle. I'll never forget the day I spent there or the scary climb inside the pyramid which, by the way, was so worth it! The rain poured down intermittently throughout my visit and I was allowed to seek cover inside some of the ruins not usually open to visitors. I couldn't help thinking about the people who had once done the same so many, many years before. What an experience!
