BART train car mockup (1964) We've seen the railroad-style "BAY AREA RAPID TRANSIT" lettering along the bottom and the first iteration of the "ba" logo before. New to me, though, are the additional vertical "BARTD" logo on the cab, just in front of the horizontal stripes, replaced on the full-scale prototype by the car number, and the vertical dividers in the interior with images of what I think are a cable car, a suspension bridge, and San Francisco City Hall.

San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) tube construction. This photo, taken by the San Francisco Chronicle's Duke Downey, is the first picture of the interior of the BART District's transbay tube in position between Oakland and San Francisco. The camera faces the Oakland end of the subway beneath the bay, showing one of the twin bores which will carry high speed trains between Oakland and San Francisco in eight minutes.
