This is one of my all-time favorite art and writing projects used to help celebrate the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior. After tracing their hands and part of the forearm onto light blue paper, students fill the piece with pen and ink designs. Cool colors are added with fine markers. Poetry beginning with the words, "Peace is in my hands" then flows around the outline.
