THE TOWN WITH NO ROADS. Giethoorn, Holland is a beautiful little village - unique because you will not find a single road in the entire town...it is connected by waterways and paths and some biking trails.

Japanese Firefly squid.

The spawning season of the firefly squid runs from March to May. During this time, the squid can be seen gathering in large numbers in Toyama Bay in Japan. Toyama Bay lies above a deep, v-shaped canyon in which the sea floor drops away suddenly. The flow of the ocean currents usually wells up from the bottom of this canyon and pushes the squid to the surface. favorite-places-spaces

Every year for a few days in the month of February, the sun’s angle is such, that it lights up Horsetail Falls in Yosemite, as if it were on fire.
