This Check Your Pockets sign in the laundry room of the “European Elegance” home (with jars to stash change, pens, candy, and money before they go into the washer) is a cute functional idea. Plus it’s inspiration to make sign art from scrap wood with any message stenciled on the front.
8.03.2011 Mason Jar Light Tutorial I must say... this project freaking ROCKS! I'm so in love with how it turned out, it's SUPER simple, and I'm so excited to show you how you can make one!!! It's part of my outdoor living space for True Value. It was inspired by something similar I saw on pinterest, but I didn't see any tutorials out there that really show just how you can make one.... until now! The big reveal....... I had a few ideas for what I wanted to do for lighting…
Twig Sign - This is my version of a twig sign I found on Etsy (see Decorating Ideas for the original). I made this using a piece of scrap wood we had sitting around, some twigs from my yard, some twine, a few shells, a couple of flowers, and some craft paint. I had all of the items for this project around my house. The most challenging part was finding twigs to use that would make the letters I needed. It took about a hour to make. I love the finished product. Very cool!
Found this idea on here a while back while re-doing daughter's room...used small jars (pimento jars), looped wired around & tied to old knobs (re-painted from dresser we were re-doing)...put on scrap, painted wood...used to hold ponytail holders, bobby pins, etc
