Railroad tie and gravel garden/side yard walkway. I usually don't like gravel and railroad ties but this might be a workable and less expensive option than pavers for backyard walkway to screen porch

Cheap and easy protection for solar landscape lights. Drill a 1" hole as deep as your spade bit will go, and drop in your light. Now they won't fall prey to the mower, weed wacker, or clumsy people. Great for walking paths, or around the fire pit.

I wish there was a way to add a pergola with an outdoor dining space like this on our house without sucking what little light I get from our tree laden back yard. Maybe the next house. Love this look.
