Schindler's List Every high school senior should be made to watch this. No exceptions. This is a deeply moving movie, but more importantly, as a wise man once told me: "If we don't remember our history, it comes back to haunt us." Mr. Crocker was right...Thailand, Kenyan, Somalia, and so many others..

Schindler's List, 1993. This Steven Spielberg film is based on the true story of Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who develops a conscience when he is trying to make money off the Nazis in Krakow, Poland during WWII and the Holocaust. It stars Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes. Painfully sad, it is a story that needed to be told. Schindler's efforts saved the lives of 1100 Jews. The movie was nominated for 12 Academy Awards and won 7.
Schindler's List (1993)- one of my favorite movies.

Remembering 9 11
Today is an important day to teach your children about America and what happened on September 11, 2001. This day in history has changed many things in our era. How do you teach what you heard, what you felt and how America stood still and just watched in horror as the twin towers just fell like dust. I remember I was at home watching TV, my son was at school, my middle daughter was just a year old.
9/11 - We are the "United" States of America - We are proud & we need to be sure we never, ever forget...
