I absolutely love how this turned out. It’s just lovely! Thank you to my husband for making it! First we measured 6 18” planks from a pallet using a circular saw. We cut a 28” piece long enough for the numbers. Make sure to measure and cut precisely. Cut and put aside. Next, we cut the sides to create a box. The sides are 5” each. I’m not really a fan of these pieces, but when I saw this one, I could see potential in this piece. I loved how it has a lot of knobs. It’s a little deceiving , it looks like it has lots of little drawers, but there’s only seven. I wanted it to have a natural look so I decided to remove the paint. It was quite a challenge. I’m always trying to use up the rest of my candles that can no longer light by using a candle warmer, but this time I tried something different These are the sweetest little hearts. 💕 It’s so very simple. Sometimes you don’t actually see all the faults with a piece of furniture until you get home. I thought with a light sand this would actually come off and I also thought if I keep sanding, I could make this piece natural without painting it.
