The nice thing about play dough is, that if the balloon breaks you are left with just a blob of play dough. I made about 30 of them and have used them now for several months and they are still going strong. They now all have faces. Two balloons each have the same face. So there are 15 different emotion faces.

With the balloons with emotion faces we have played "snap". The group sits in a circle holding a balloon. Every one starts exchanging balloons by passing them around or gently throwing them whilst calling out the persons name to whom the balloon is meant for. At a sign of the leader every one stops, holds up their balloon with the face showing to the group. The ones who have the same face call out "snap" to each other. I've made up several other games with them too.

Sensory Processing Parenting: Joint Compressions - "Squishies" - After a Meltdown
