From exhibit: 4th Grade Snowmen at Night - After studying the color qualities illustrated in the snow and snowmen in the books "Snowmen at Night" and "Snowmen at Christmas," fourth grade students created their own snowmen at night. We learned about cropping while creating the initial composition, and then painted all the snow with white tempera paint. Oil pastel was used to color the details, and chalk pastel was applied to the snow to give it that beautiful, colorful snowy look!
Yarn Wrapped Star ornament tutorial. This is so cute! A great way to use upleft-over yarn, and I'm pretty sure that lower-elementary kids could help with this. For starters, they could draw the stars! Nice!
Students created these wonderful snowmen in class. Students objective was to create a snowman with a fun (and Tall) hat. Students used markers to draw their snowman on the first day. On the Second day they used bright color paint to fill in the four equal squares of the background. The last part of the project was the best. Students dipped their fingers in white paint to add the snow.
