Matthew 7:6 Jesus speaks an important principle that gets overlooked, "Do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet & turn & tear you to pieces." There are many who will manipulate & deceive you, suck the life out of you (Revelation 22:15). There are encouragers & those who take our energy & hope, Paul affirms this in Philippians 3:2. We are not to disrespect ourselves (who are the very vessels of Christ) by letting others walk all over us.
