Reading the word has a profound purpose...preparing the bride of Christ (Eph. 5:26-27). If we appreciate the word of Christ the way God does, we would come to it in a much different way, to be washed with the water in the Word to be prepared as a part of His glorious bride.

Why read the Bible? If you've been a Christian for some time you may have been encouraged to read it. But do you realize it a key to prepare His bride?

Christ is spacious and unsearchably rich, but how much of this vast Christ do we see, experience and enjoy in our daily life? May the Lord enlighten the eyes of our heart to see such a Christ as the all-inclusive One and strengthen us in our spirit to apprehend with all the saints His vast dimensions!

As believers in Christ, it's easy to get unbalanced. We may come to the Lord for grace, yet forget that His grace is "to me, for you" (Eph. 3:2). We may also try to go to others to meet their needs while neglecting our basic need to come to the Lord that He may grow in us and fill us. We need both to be a normal believer.

As believers in Christ we have two principles we can live by, the principle of life or the principle of right and wrong. It is just like the two trees before Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But now these two sources are both within us. In this post I share my own story of discovering this higher principle to live by--the principle of life. I hope you'll also make this same discovery and choose life.

Our consecration to Him is both the gate we must enter and the pathway we must walk so that we may grow in Christ in order to reach our goal. But what is consecration? And how can we experience it?
