    Tahzay, son of Cochise, and elder brother of Naiche. Tahzay succeeded his father Cochise as chief of the Chiricahuas when Cochise died in 1874. As part of a delegation of Apache's to the white man's capitol tragedy struck. Tahzay developed pneumonia and, though given all available medical attention, died within a few days. Tahzay was buried in the Congressional Cemetery. Born 1843. Died 26-9-1876.
