One of my favorite childhood books!
Where the Sidewalk Ends I remember as a young child we totally demolished a hard cover copy of this book that my sister had checked out of the library at the elementary school. And what a shame, because it is an awesome book. I LOVE the drawing on the cover, too. I remember studying it for hours and wondering what was going to happen to that dog if he didn't get back on the sidewalk. My favorite poem? Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout, of course, who would not take the garbage out. :)

saving ceecee honeycutt by beth hoffman : good book. happy story, ultimately. has strong characters and pretty language. it reminded me a lot of the secret life of bees.
"Friday is a purple-velvet-sofa day for some poor woman who's finally reclaimed her life. A purple velvet sofa is a gal's symbol of freedom." Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, Beth Hoffman. Pinner writes: "If you liked Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes & The Help you will love this book! Set in Georgia in 1967, tells the story of a precocious yet troubled child whisked away to a world of Southern eccentricities by her great-aunt."
Such an incredible book

My favorite book and one of my favorite movies.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven (2004) Based on best-selling author Mitch Albom's book, this moving TV drama centers on Eddie (Steven Grayhm and Jon Voight), who dies at the age of 83, uncertain that he was able to save a girl from a horrible accident and doubting that his life had any significance. In heaven, Eddie meets five souls who, through flashbacks, show him how he affected the lives of others in amazing ways. Ellen Burstyn, Jeff Daniels and Michael Imperioli also star.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven. A book worth reading - a short read, but powerful message.
We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of it truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (see Moroni 10: 3-5) ~Introduction~

In my top three favorite books. So, so worth reading - 'The Hiding Place' by Corrie Ten Boom
I just read my old copy of The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom again, and it's my new favorite book. An amazing story of how the Ten Boom family stood up to the Nazis in WWII and how she survived a concentration camp to tell others about Jesus' love. Such a good read! Read the full post at http://praylivecreate.com. #books #reading #faith
A true story of the the TenBoom family and how they hid Jews during WWII. This book was just as good as the Diary of Ann Frank. There is also a movie that was made in the 70's based on this book.
The Hiding Place (1971)...by Corrie Ten Boom. An excellent true story of Christian faith and the power of God's love in World War II. Corrie and her family aided Jews in the Dutch underground. Corrie survived to tell of the horrors of a Nazis concentration camp.
One of my favorite books. Worth reading more than once!
Excellent read!! The book describes a society in which there are no choices avaliable to the people living there. Everything is chosen for the people, their jobs, their mates, how many children they have, etc. The society stops the threat of pain and suffering by taking emotions out of life. They all are the same, equal. One boy begins to see the reality of life and wants to change.

An amazing book! Definitely a book worth reading.
The Giver. makes me thinks of the Hunger Games so much!!
I read this book in high school and want to read it again sometime.
This was my favorite book in middle school. Was just thinking about good books I've read and thought of this one. Will have to re-read it now that I'm an adult to see if I have a different perspective on it.
The Giver by Lois Lowry Favorite book as a child
The Giver by Lois Lowry. Yes it's for 'young adults' but the story is amazing.
Awesome read about World War II, written from the perspective of death. He, death, follows the life of a little girl as she loses people to him throughout her life. Very cool, unique perspective.
