MAR20VSND, MAR20VSNI, Tulips for You by Margscardcrazy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
This card is for Melody's sketch challenge and Anita's Tulip challenge on VSN. I'm not going to complete all the cards so decided to combine a couple that worked well together. It was a quick card with some basic copic marker colouring heat emboss the greeting and then put it all together. to get the background I placed two rectangles of different DP together worked out where I wanted to cut it in half to create an angle then separated them and butted the to different pieces together. this…
MAR20VSNK, MAR20VSNM, Old Fashioned Christmas by Margscardcrazy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
This card is for both Kelly and Susan's VSN Florapalooza challenges. It did take an hour and twenty minutes but I was so close to finishing I just kept going. It would have been faster if I could have stamped the image with my distress ink pads and then just dragged the colour up or down but that wasn't possible and had to go over all the lines with a distress marker first so that I could drag the colour. The only other thing I did was heat emboss the greeting. I decided to go with the Soft…
MAR20VSNG Spotlight by Kalla Walla - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
This is for Kelly's VSN challenge. I stamped the image twice and die cut the area that I wanted to spotlight from one of the panels. Then I colored it. Knew I wanted to keep it mostly black and white so I only used color on my enamel dots.
MAR20VSNMINI1 Watered Silhouettes by cdimick - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I had such fun creating this tissue paper watercolor. After it dried, I added silver embossing powder randomly, matted the panel with black, and added a silver mirror paper wildflower die cut. Thanks for the fun challenge, Kim! Thanks for looking!
one drop...O4J by One4Joy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I think this is my first Chalkboard technique. I like it. I didn't use many colors, but the ones I did were perfect. The video tutorial link was helpful. I love this Wordsworth sentiment. It explains the birth of friendship in such a tender way. Hope you will explore it! And to illustrate the overflowing, I used a heart at the bottom. I placed a series of mini hearts inside. Love is just waiting to overflow. Thank you for the gift of your comments, they water my creative soul…
MAR20VSNQ Midnight Wildflowers by Jennifrann - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Today's inspiration site was perfect to combine with a VSN Challenge. I've done Kim's Midnight Gardens one and used this picture to guide the colors. I stamped the flowers three times with VersaMagic Cloud White. The middle one stamped too heavy because I got a little carried away with the…
MAR20VSND Your the world! by stampingfordummies - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
My take on the MAR20VSND sketch. I found this already stamped image. I remember stamping it from friend's stamp at a retreat last July, but I dont remember what company? I did color it up last night with Copic markers, die cut it out. I added gray colored pencil around the image. I had to type my sentiment on the computer. Can you believe I dont have that in a stamp? :) That's ok because I made it fit perfectly in the Spellbinders die. I added Stickles to the sides of the sentiment die and…
my bucket runs over...O4J by One4Joy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
What a wonderful challenge, Kim for a VSN. It's quick and yields big results. I enjoyed your samples. I decided to use my tissue paper background to die cut fussy blossoms! And then put them in the tiniest bucket I could find...if that doesn't illustrate the sentiment... Such fun. I followed Loll's tutorial. I even VersaMarked the wrinkles with Frantage Rose mixed embossing powder. It made for lots of subtle sparkle.
MAR20VSNMINI1 - Missing You by AnniePanda - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
This is for the VSN Mini #1 to just add water. I did the Tissue Paper Technique with SU inks and added gold EP when dry. I pulled pieces of vellum I made a while back for the top panel and layers behind the image. With Versamark I heat embossed some Fran-tage EP to the edges of the sentiment and popped it up.
MAR20VSNQ Thank You jai by AnniePanda - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
This is for Kim's VSN challenge to make a Midnight Garden. My white ink was not working so I switched to the white embossing instead. Didn't use alcohol markers on the white but watercolored within the flowers.
MAR20VSNMINI Floral Birthday by snietje - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I didn't see there were 2 layers when I made the tissue paper technique background, so separated them carefully and let them dry, and made 2 cards with it, on this one I've layered acetate over the tissue, fussy cut a 3d flower made a "bumper" for the easel and added a butterfly. TFL
Broken Past by Dr Sonja - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I got my fingers inky with the tissue paper watercolor technique of Kim's VSN challenge. I decided to crumple the paper and glue it to a kraft tag. The tie is a strip of the tissue paper left behind after I die cut the tag. The Tickle a Teapotter challenge for this week was to incorporate the kintsugi tradition of mending a broken piece with gold solder. I brushed over the raised wrinkles with Versamark and sprinkled gold and teal embossing powder to simulate the "welds". The Unity sentiment…
MAR20VSNMINI1 Sending Hugs by Kalla Walla - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Kim's VSN challenge was to use tissue paper in your card creation. I've never done this technique and thought I would give it a try. I dried it with the heat gun and glued three sets of the sunflower frame to it. The rest came together pretty easy with some older paper.
