Before the term “freestyle” had even been coined, Klaus Obermeyer was throwing tip rolls on 200-cm length skis in the 1940s. Today, Obermeyer, who turns 93 on Dec. 2, leaves such gymnastic moves to the next generation. But you can still catch a glimpse of the silver fox most days on the slopes of Aspen/Snowmass.
