Classroom DIY: DIY Phonics Phones These will work great as "whisper phones" for kids to read and revise their writing! Awesome idea!
Whisper phone, made of PVC pipe and patterned duct tape. Another great idea from this site: make a baggie quilt out of gallon or sandwich size baggies and strategically placed duct tape. Could be used for displaying students work (big bags) or a variety of centers, like Boggle! :) Can punch holes in top and hang from Command hooks! Looks like a fun, easy project too.

Fair Isn't...such a great quote! Some students feel that its not fair when other students get "special treatment". But those students usually don't realize the other student is getting that treatment because they NEED it. Try to make the world and school environment fair is challenging but everybody has the right to be given a chance to succeed :)
This is special education...Some students need more than others to succeed. This is what you say when people say it isn't fair that special education students get extra stuff. I actually had a gen ed teacher say it wasn't fair that a special ed student got more time on an assignment. The student probably thinks it's not fair that he has a learning disability. **As a parent this is what I need to get across to my kids when they start in with the complaining & guilt tripping......**
thats not fair... popular saying of our students - well instead of my normal reply I can just point to this poster
So true. I explain this to my students all the time. Think I will have to make a poster of this!
