Malala Yousafzai - ) Pakistani schoolgirl who defied threats of the Taliban to campaign for the right to education. She survived being shot in the head by the Taliban and has become a global advocate for womens rights, especially the right to education.
Over 120 children study in this school in Akhtarabad serving the villages nearby. Many rural areas in Pakistan have no schools due to lack of teachers and facilities so it is wonderful to be able to povide something for this centre point of Christian community.
Komal cannot walk because she had polio when she was a baby. Now she is 9 years old. She lives with her father, mother and four siblings in a village near Lahore, Pakistan. Her father works for a tiny wage in a cattle farm. Starfish Asia provided a wheelchair for Komal but after a year it was broken. We have just sent money to buy her a new wheelchair. Her yet unfulfilled dream is to go to school. Can we help her?
