Science Notebooking: Terrific ideas!

Show students the importance of washing their hands! Control: I handled the apple slice with gloves on. Variable #1: All students handled the apple slice after they had been outside at recess. Variable #2: I handled the apple slice with bare hands cleaned with hand sanitizer. All apples were sealed in a ziplock bag. We watched and observed the changes over the course of 10 days. End result: variable #1= rot spots and black mold.
