One of my favorite clients at Kazoo Knits emailed me and asked if I could knit a beard hat for their grandson. These beard hats are everywhere and I honestly found them to be a little awkward. I just could not wrap my mind around an infant wearing a beard. I adore this client, so I decided to put my knitting super cape on and write a pattern that I could actually live with. What I ended up with is a beard and hat combination that I really truly love. I’m giving it to you, free of charge, so…
A majestically simple design which is a very quick knit. Jacket is worked in one piece to underarm, bodice is completed in garter stitch, collar can be turned down or worn up, for that extra bit of coziness. Pants are kept simple, with just a little bit of detail running on the outside leg, to match the jacket and hat. This little outfit is called Purity inspired by the first falling of snow for winter.
Baby jacket, pants and hat P047 pattern by OGE Knitwear Designs
My friend asked me to make a beard hat for her nephew, so I went searching for a knitted pattern that I like. But everything I found was straight across. So I set out to make my own. This is the first pattern I’ve written out, and if there are any problems let me know.
