No Scrub Method for cleaning stove burner grates: Seal in a plastic bag with a little ammonia (doesn't need to cover grates). Let sit overnight and the ammonia fumes will break down burnt on grease, etc. Next day, wipe clean with sponge.
No scrub way to clean stove burners ... seal it in a ziploc bag with 1/4 cup ammonia overnight. In the morning, wipe off burner. The burner does not need to soak in lots of ammonia, it's the fumes that do the work. The site said it's a good idea to put the bag on a cookie sheet outside overnight ... in case it springs a leak.
An easy spring cleaning tip for one of the worst jobs in the house! So easy to do this! You don't even need elbow grease! Take the disgusting, yucky burner and seal it up in a big Ziploc-type bag with about 1/4 cup of ammonia and let it sit overnight.
1/4 cup ammonia and a gallon zip lock for each burner, leave overnight and clean burners! No scrubbing? Can't wait to try this! Cleaning Stove Burners

Mineral oil cleans greasy splatters over the #range
How to clean stove hood
use mineral oil to clean oil splatter on stoves. put a couple drops of mineral oil on a paper towel. Wipe the paper towel over the dirty surface, and watch the gunk come right off. When you are done cleaning, simply wipe down the surfaces one more time with a new paper towel. This leaves the surface coated lightly in oil, which makes future oil splatters much, much easier to clean up.
how to clean sticky dust gunk from stove hood & dials: Instead of soap & water, put a few drops of mineral oil on paper towel. Wipe paper towel over dirty surface, & watch gunk come off. When done, wipe down surfaces once more w new paper towel, leavg surface coated lightly in oil, makg future oil splatters easier to clean up. Veg oil ok, but mineral oil = better, will not ‘yellow’ or get tacky/gummy; polyunsaturated fatty acids in veg oil go yellow & get sticky w prolonged exposure to oxygen
