The Complete Anne of Green Gables. Every little girl should read and/or see the movie series. Love!

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. One of my all time favorites! I LOVE this book. And the movie from 1945 is amazing as well!

A Fine and Pleasant Misery. Hilarious!! This guy does a great job of telling incredibly humorous stories of experiences in the outdoors we can all relate to. He captures the hilarious misery that is camping! We bring it with us to read by the campfire every trip!

L'Abri. This book changed my life. It gave me new found faith in prayer and God's divine interaction in our lives. It also gave me a huge heart for hospitality and a new desire for what I want our family life to be like. Great book. I guarantee you will cry with joy and amazement at least once.

When Survivors Give Birth: Understanding and Healing the Effects of Early Sexual Abuse on Childbearing Women. I went to this workshop by Penny Simkin. Amazing! A must read for any women who is pregnant and has experienced abuse or anyone who works with pregnant women.

The Christian Childbirth Handbook. One of a kind book! Wondering what God and your faith have to do with pregnancy? A LOT! Read this book! It's also a great general overview informational book on pregnancy.

The Birth Partner: A Complete Guide to Childbirth for Dads, Doulas, and All Other Labor Companions. I recommend every mother or father to be bring this to labor. It is a great quick reference! I keep it with me for every birth I attend.

Birth Matters: A Midwife's Manifesta Ina May Gaskin. A great book! Gives a very factual, analytical perspective on the birth "industry"in the US and it's negative effects

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. My all time favorite book.

I loved reading this book. It is wonderfully written and it sheds a lot of light to a generation that I knew very little about! Amazing cultural comparisons!
