From Krystal Byers: The layers are as follows: 1. White pebbles ($1 from dollar tree) 2. Activated carbon (free-ish I already had some from my turtles tank filter cartridge) 3. Sand ($1 from dollar tree) 4. Cactus soil ($6 from local garden store) 5. Your choice of succulent (mine was free as a Valentine's gift) 6. Moss ($1 from dollar tree) You don't have to put moss on but I wanted mine to look more natural. And voilà! Super cheap, easy and beautiful center piece!
