Researchers at the UK’s National Media Museum discover the world’s first color motion picture, filmed in 1902 by Edward Raymond Turner using a color process he patented in 1899. The film shows the inventor’s children playing with bright yellow sunflowers, alongside several other test shots. Though Turner himself never got to see the footage because his projector didn’t work, researchers were able to digitally resurrect it for the first time.
