CONTAINER GARDENING IDEAS - these bright pots are amazing!
Lamb's Ears - gorgeous and drought resistant
Earse Drought Tolerant, Drought Tolerant Perennials, Easy To Growing, Fuzzy Leaves, Rich Soil, Ground Covers, Lambs Ears, Flower, Well Drain Soil
Lamb's Ears - actually, I think these look better WITHOUT the flowers. The leaves are a soft, fuzzy grey and make a nice contrast to all the greens in the garden. That also looks like Bee Balm in the background - so called because the bees love it.
Best Drought Tolerant Perennials Lamb's Ears
Lamb's Ears. An easy-to-grow ground cover, lamb's ears has soft, fuzzy leaves. Their silvery tone makes them a great foil for just about any plant in the garden. Note, though: Lamb's ear can spread aggressively in rich soil. Name: Stachys byzantina Conditions: Full sun and well-drained soil Size: To 18 inches tall Zones: 4-8
Drought resistant -Russian Sage-We can't help but love Russian sage. One of the toughest plants, it offers fragrant silvery foliage and plumes of violet-purple blooms. Taller varieties are great for the back of the border. Not only is it heat and drought resistant, but deer, rabbits, and most other pests steer clear of it
Russian Sage - gorgeous, drought, critter resistant and grows up to 6 ft tall
Violets Purple, Feet Tall, Drought Tolerant Perennials, Steering Clear, Russian Sage, Fragrant Silvery, Garden Borders, Drought Resistance, Silvery Foliage
Best Drought Tolerant Perennials Russian SageRussian Sage We can't help but love Russian sage. One of the toughest plants, it offers fragrant silvery foliage and plumes of violet-purple blooms. Taller varieties are great for the back of the border. Not only is it heat and drought resistant, but deer, rabbits, and most other pests steer clear of it. Name: Perovskia atriplicifolia Conditions: Full sun and well-drained soil Size: To 6 feet tall Zones: 5-9
Russian Sage This super-tough plant can grow to 6 feet tall, and is great for the back row of garden borders or along fences. It is heat and drought resistant, and most pests like deer and rabbits will stay away from it. The fragrant silver foliage is just as pretty as the purple blooms.

Drought-tolerant Landscaping Ideas: Down the Garden Path - native plants, such as yarrow, often have built-in drought-tolerant features; spread 2-3" mulch between widely-spaced plants to reduce water loss and suppress weeds; a drip-irrigation system wastes less water and delivers hydration directly to plants; a porous material between paving stones provides a way for rain to soak into the soil; simple elements, including a birdbath and wooden bench, offer subtle focal points.
