Pairs Canyon, Desert, White House, 38 Mile
Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, Paria Canyon hike. Wire Pass Trailhead --> confluence --> White House is ~21 miles long. Narrow slot canyons, petroglyphs.
Paria Canyon | This is a famous and popular hike in the Paria Canyon-Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness. It is approximately 38 miles long and can take between three and six days. The hike is so beautiful that most people recommend at least 4 or 5 days. The special attractions are the high, sculpted red-rock walls in Paria Canyon, and, if you choose to add it, Buckskin Gulch.
Paria Canyon, been there 13 times but longing for number 14...with my bbf.
I would love to backpack Paria Canyon someday.

Repin. Sorry, No info. Looks like it would go well with my 'abandoned places' photo essay. I hate it when people give NO info at all. Not even: "I found this old photo, no idea what it is. Additional info appreciated." AHAH! That wasn't so tough, It's the Lee Plaza Hotel, in Detroit. I think I'll add some more pictures. When I was a young photography student abandoned buildings were my favorite things: imagining the life that had gone in them.
nature reclaims. abandoned buildings are one of my favorite things...

United Artists Theater - Up and down Detroit’s streets, buildings stand abandoned and in ruin. French photographers Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre set out to document the decline of an American city. Their book “The Ruins of Detroit“, a document of decaying buildings frozen in time, was published in December 2010.

Stone spiral stairs. I love the way the stone steps are worn down in places from so many footsteps on them throughout the years.

Spiral staircase at Chateau de la Source, abandoned castle in Luxemburg. By Jean-claude Berens I wonder if the stairs really have that much wear to the outside? I Love it, and it makes sense, but perhaps it's a function of the lens used.
