Have to check some of these out to make sure but sounds like a good idea. The United States of Young Adult Books map. We get the fault in our stars cause it's based here. This makes me kind of like Indiana. Only reason I repinned this. Love tfios. :))))
Young adult books- often with mature themes- that take place in each of the 50 states - neat reading list
The United States of YA! Each state represents the setting for the YA book. To read list for easy reads? I love this idea but I would maybe pick a few different books for some of the states.

Bill Bryson is one of the world’s most beloved and bestselling writers. In A Short History of Nearly Everything, he takes his ultimate journey–into the most intriguing and consequential questions that science seeks to answer. It’s a dazzling quest, the intellectual odyssey of a lifetime, as this insatiably curious writer attempts to understand everything that has transpired from the Big Bang to the rise of civilization.
For a Bryson that has a pretty different subject matter from his other works, read A Short History of Nearly Everything. Bryson takes the reader on a scientific odyssey from the Big Bang to the rise of civilization. Reflecting his gift for making science comprehensible yet fun, he tells the story of the discoveries and people that have shaped our understanding of the universe in such a way that even those with no knowledge or interest in science can enjoy it.

Worth Reading, Orson Scott, Book Worth, L'Wren Scott, Movies, Science Fiction, Sci Fi, End Games, Scott Cards
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. An amazing work of Sci Fi fiction. This book is awesome. And it's coming out as a movie soon!
The sequels are a bit weird but worth reading.
Orson Scott Card is a contemporary and very prolific writer of science fiction and fantasy (and combines the two). Probably best known for "Ender's Game", he has written an Ender's series, as well as several other series and stand-alone books and short stories. He has solid story lines and tells the tale in believable ways, almost in oral story-telling fashion, and he's very inventive. I can't wait for his next book (and now movie).
This is the only acceptable Ayn Rand book. I swear. Ugh.

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth. - J. D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
'I'm Holden Caulfield and I'm whiny' I think was the alternate title. But it was still fun to read.

"The Catcher in the Rye": Read "Catcher in the Rye" because Salinger gets you. He knows what it's like to want to save a world that may not necessarily appreciate what you have to offer. It's worth reading if you feel an earnest need to know you're not alone on this planet.
J.D. Salinger, “Catcher in the Rye,” 1951 | E. Michael Mitchell, a 20th century illustrator turned computer animation turned CalArts professor, made this cover for Salinger who wanted only his name and the title on the book jacket — no other type.
Michael Mitchell: "The Catcher in the Rye" by J. D. Salinger... Favorite book cover.
