The Elephant Project is lucky to be working with Encompass Films on our documentary chronicling the immense challenges Myanmar's elephants are facing - from living in timber camps, to being killed by villagers for raiding crops, to being slaughtered for their skins that will be made into trinkets and some mystical Chinese medicine. This photograph by Dominic Gill gives a hint to the stories that the film will bring to life.
NIGERIA AND THE FORGOTTEN HERD M Dane Waters
China's ivory ban is in name only. Trump has abdicated America’s moral leadership on elephant protection. He can change both by reinstating ban on elephant trophies coming to US and demanding China enforce their ivory ban in any new trade deal @CNNAfrica
The Elephant Project's press conference with Joe Trippi, John Weaver, Bill Kristol, Adam Roberts, and M Dane Waters, calling on the Trump Administration to end its support of the barbaric practice of killing elephants for sport. The bipartisan group also demanded the dissolution of the biased IWCC which was established by the pro-trophy hunting lobby and the Department of Interior to normalize the killing of elephants for sport.
