two metal handles on top of a table next to each other and one has a wrench in the middle
Stair carpet stays from the interwar period, before and after the clean up.
two candles sitting on top of a white sheet
Discarded industrial items, not sure what, reborn as candlesticks.
a chair that is sitting on the floor
Close up view of the seat pad on one of my 60's chairs. Gives a good idea of the detailing.
two black and brown cabinets sitting on top of a wooden table next to each other
An old cabinet, cleaned up and refinished, now has a new lease of life.
two pieces of furniture are sitting on the floor
Match up quite nicely...
a wooden table sitting on top of a white floor next to a chair and wall
The top was originally part of a bed headboard, covered in dark old varnish. Stripped back the walnut figuring really comes to life.
a wooden table sitting on top of a white floor next to a curtained wall
With bracing added just under the worktop the piece is sturdy but uncluttered.
an old metal table with a glass top on it's base, in front of a white wall
Stripped of the chipped old paint and rust, then given a coat of clear lacquer, these castings almost have a sculptural quality to them.
a wooden table sitting on top of a white floor
Using a pair of cast iron legs salvaged from an old workshop and a reclaimed top I created this rather fine desk.
an open wooden cabinet with two drawers
The Tallboy with its doors open. Practical as well as beautiful.
two metal utensils hang from a wooden coat hook on a white wall next to a black and white checkered kitchen towel
No this is not frustration at my lack of cooking skills, just some quirky hooks I made up using some old cutlery.
a coat rack with two coats hanging from it's hooks and a towel hanger on the wall
i made up a few of these simple, minimal hooks in combinations of two, three or four.
a wooden cabinet sitting in the corner of a room with a white wall behind it
This tallboy was covered in thick, dark vanish. Once removed it revealed the beautiful walnut veneers you see here.
four chairs and a table with a wooden top on a white sheeted surface,
A simple design but with nice little details like the curved edge on the leaf. Nice grain too.
a wooden desk with a chair next to it on a white sheeted background,
This drop leaf table provides the perfect match for the chairs. Oak finished in clear matt varnish, nestles unobtrusively in a corner when not required.
