Growing up in California, I never heard of the term "calf-slobber", but now that I live in Tennessee I hear it all the time. It isn't meant to offend anyone. Personally, i'm just disappointed that people who aren't used to hearing it would call people "ignorant". I think people should be a bit nicer, even if they don't agree on something.

Thank you Cherry, I really did not intend for it to be a negative comment. We southerners have always put a meringue on top. My uncle would always make that comment about not wanting any on his & scrape it off; which is ironic considering my grandfather had 500+ head of Black Angus cattle :-D

@Holly and Tracy having a sense of humor can really change you're perspective on life!

Jackie, the people in the South always get a bad rap. But consider how immoral the people in New York and Chicago and Washington are. Personally, I'm proud to be from the South. I can face my God with a clean conscience.

  • Jackie Jensen

I do agree that there are a lot of misconceptions regarding the South, however I have lived all over the country as a military wife and there are people of all cultures & beliefs everywhere I've lived from California to Connecticut. I am a Christian first (and my husband is also my pastor), but I sometimes joke " can anything good come out of California?" Thanks for your response to my earlier comment MR, and Merry CHRISTmas ! :)

Pumpkin Ravioli. To die for!

  • Peniel Macias

I'm totally making this tomorrow!!! I love everything I've ever made from PW!

  • Jennifer Donoho-Piper

Love seeing pumpkin done savory instead of sweet. My dad makes his sweet potatoes with butter and parm cheese. No marshmallows!

I had leftover pumpkin after making a cake. I also had wonton wrappers, butter, garlic, Parmesan, pine nuts, and sage. The result was quick-and-easy Pumpkin Ravioli and a whole lot of happiness on my part!
