Single use size ointments. Genius!
Seals, Antibiotics Ointment, Idea, Single Us, First Aid Kits, Lighter, Diy Single, Straws, Antibiotics Packs
DIY Single use topical abc antibiotic ointment + unused drinking straw + pliers to pinch & lighter to seal ends! Tada- travel 1st aide! Love this idea.
MAKE YOUR OWN SINGLE USE ANTIBIOTIC PACKS /////// It is often too cumbersome to carry a big tube of antibiotic ointment. As for me personally, I would love to throw a small pack like the ones shown here, in my purse or backpack and just go. But from what I read in these articles, it's 69 cents a pack. Not that it is super expensive but this is an even cheaper way. Brilliant really. ///////////// NOTE: I've yet to have one of these burst or fail on me. Simple, affordable, and very convenient. /////////// MATERIALS: 1.) A tube of antibiotic ointment. 2.) A plastic drinking straw (preferably transparent). 3.) a Bic lighter 4.) needle-nose pliers. ////////////// DIRECTIONS: STEP ONE: Place the straw over the opening of the ointment tube and carefully squeeze in a small amount of the ointment that is approximately one quarter of an inch in length. (You'll notice that transparent straws work best for this). Use you fingers to squeeze the end of the straw so that it pushes the ointment further up inside the plastic straw. This will provide a clean area for sealing the end of the straw without having the ointment ooze out while you are holding it with your pliers. STEP TWO: Hold the end of the straw with your needle-nose pliers so that a small amount of the straw is protruding. This will be used to melt and seal the end of the straw. Take your Bic lighter and carefully melt the end of the straw so that it forms a seal. I like to quickly pinch the melted end with my pliers to ensure a good seal. STEP THREE: Turn the straw around and find the point where the ointment went up to inside the straw. Pinch just past that with your needle-nose pliers and cut off the excess straw with a pair of scissors making sure to leave a small amount of the straw protruding for sealing with your lighter just as you did in the first step. //////////////// Now you have a single use packet of antibiotic ointment that you can carry with you as part of your UL backpacking first aid kit.

Contact paper dresser You are here: Home / Basics / 10 Top Home Decorating Buys Under $10 10 Top Home Decorating Buys Under $10 November 25, 2013 · by Kathy Woodard · Leave a Comment Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on email Share on pinterest_share More Sharing Services 135 decorating buys under 10 If you’re looking to update a room in your home, but cash is a little short, never fear. The Budget Decorator has ten of her best home decorating finds, all of them for less than $10 each! Anyone can afford to decorate their home with these home decorating tips. Paper Paper is one of the most versatile tools for use in budget home décor. Paper mache can be used to create display bowls. (see photo above) Contact paper also works great for lining your dresser drawers for an instant pop of color, in an unsuspecting place. Frame scrapbooking paper in your living rooms’ color scheme, and hang them above the window to draw the eye upwards, creating the look of a a taller ceiling. Use brown paper bags to create a faux concrete or leather look floor. Make coasters out of paper, its cheap and one of a kind. It is easy to find precut cork at any craft store, then simply trace the coaster shape onto the paper, cut out, decoupage the paper onto the cork, and let dry. Its as simple as that! Framed paper Fat Quarters Fat Quarters are quarter yard pieces of fabric sold singly, or in coordinated bunches. They can be used for a number of projects around the home, are inexpensive and a great way to introduce an accent color or pattern to the room. Use them to make a slipcover for an office chair. Throw pillow covers. Make a colorful dry erase board! All you have to do is frame your favorite piece of fabric in your color scheme, and hang on the wall. Then use a dry erase marker on the glass. It wipes off easily, blends in with your rooms style and color scheme, and is useful as well. Pillow covers from fabric Dollar Store Frames I love dollar store frames! You can generally find a selection of sizes, and basic, classy frames, that mix with just about any style. I very rarely buy frames any where else, because of how cheap and clean these look! You can easily make a gallery style picture wall under $10 for a look that will pull together a room! Ideas for framing on the cheap? Fabric or paper Calendar pages Printed computer art Colorful graphic food labels Pressed flowers and leaves Sentimental ticket stubs or programs Black and white candids of your family Green living room Graphic Poster Art This can be a bit trickier to find under $10, but it can be done! Try looking at places like IKEA, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. IKEA has great graphics for very little price, in a multitude of sizes and styles. Michaels and Hobby Lobby generally have good prices on their prints, and they usually offer a 20% or even 40% off coupon weekly in the local add, or online. Quart of Paint A Quart of paint may seem small, but it goes a long way to freshen up your home. Paint the trim around your windows. Give your front door a splash of color that awakens your house from the curb! If you have glass paned cabinets, try painting the inside of them for a crisp look. Paint a key piece of furniture in a bold accent color to transform a room in an hour. Paint a “panel” behind a gallery of photos to set them off and make them more important in the room. Paint pops Stencil Brush and Craft Paints Stenciling can be used on far more than just walls. Use it in a child’s rooms to combat little changing minds. Flowers, Dinosaurs, or an ocean fantasy. Add just a touch of personality to any spot in the house with stenciled quotes. They are great above doorways, or scripture perhaps above a babies crib? How about developing a family signature stencil to add in every room of the home? Stencil sheets and towels with a monogram for a luxury look. Dear Lille made these awesome pillows with stencils and a sharpie! Sharpie pillows Glue Gun and Sticks This is probably one of the most essential tools of The Budget Decorator, and can be used in almost every decorating project. Use for temporary furniture repairs Make Christmas ornaments Add ribbon to a lampshade Hem curtains We have even used a glue gun to make a dollar tree candle holder look like one out of a CB2 magazine. Spin hurricane Patterned Contact Paper Patterned Contact paper can be great for making a room look completely different, without the cost or hassle of painting or the permanency of wall paper. This is a great option for renters, as most are not allowed to paint. Cover an old dresser or desk top then top with glass to bring it back to life. Cut into strips and use it as removable wall border Use patterned contact paper to line the back part of a book case. Add a little flair to the dull matte black finish. Cut out shapes from bold or primary contact paper and use to decorate a child’s bathroom.

For anyone that may not know, the BEST way to make "hard-boiled" eggs is in the OVEN! Place the eggs in a muffin tray so they do not move around, turn the oven to 325 degrees, pop in for about 25-30 minutes and remove!

Here Is A Fun Tip(Please share!): Baked Hard Boiled Eggs For anyone that may not know, the BEST way to make "hardboiled" eggs is in the OVEN! Place the eggs in a muffin tray so they do not move around, turn the oven to 325 degrees, pop in for about 25-30 minutes and remove! Not only are they tastier, but they also are much easier to peel!
Bake eggs for hard boiled eggs without the mess
Baked Easter Eggs 325 for 30 minutes. Watch them because mine exploded - guess our oven was too hot.
Easy Hard Boiled Eggs: Place eggs in muffin tin (to keep them from moving) and put in oven. Turn on over to 325 and let bake for 25-30 minutes. Submerge in ice water after cooking. I am not an expert on hard boiled eggs but this seemed to work like a charm.
Making boiled eggs during Easter for coloring, egg hunts, or deviled eggs? Simpler, easier-to-peel and softer texture (the whites aren’t rubbery). You can make as many dozen at a time as you have muffin pans. Preheat oven to 325. Place a dozen eggs into a standard 12-count muffin pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Place cooked eggs into a cold water bath. The eggshells may have some brown spots on them after baking, but these will wash off easily in the water.
