Traditional German" Beer Braised Beef with Potato Dumplings" If you have never had this you don't know what you are missing ... the Dumplings are very light and favorful in the beefy meaty gravy . Trust me you want to try this.
Hearty beef stew -- very very good, made without the beer (subbed in extra beef stock, a chicken bullion cube, and some A1) and used maple bacon, but it turned out excellent! Dumplings were nice and light, stew was thick and hearty, savory, delightful, and filling! Will make again.
