I'm not a woman so I'm thinking, if I'm a woman, why would I want to get ... some of it has to do with economics. A lot of it has to do with economics. I don't know, I have never ... In the dedication to her new book, My Life on the Road, Gloria Steinem wrote the following dedication to a doctor who illegally performed an abortion for her: "He said: 'You must promise me two things. First, you will not tell anyone my name. Second, you will do what you want to do with your life.' Dear Dr. Sharpe, I believe you, who knew the law was unjust, would not mind if I say this so long after your death: I’ve done the best I could with my life. This book is for you."

Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage Programs Are Ineffective and Harmful to Young People, Expert Review Confirms

Artist: Will McPhail
Air National Guard members Terran Echegoyen-McCabe & Christina Luna recently posted to FB several breastfeeding pic while wearing fatigues—which they do all the time on Fairchild Airforce Base in Spokane, WA. Their pics have prompted an outcry. There are no military rules against breastfeeding in uniform; yet one FB comment compared the images to “urinating & defecating.”

Lysol's "Too Late to Cry Out in Anguish!" 1949.
Beware of one intimate neglect that can engulf you in marital grief. Too late when love has gone for a wife to plead that no one warned her of danger. Because a wise, considerate wife makes it her business to find out how to safeguard her daintiness in order to protect precious married love and happiness. One of the soundest ways for a wife to keep married love in bloom is to achieve dainty allure by practicing effective feminine hygiene such as regular vaginal douches with reliable…
Lysol's "The Poise that Knowledge Gives," 1935
Fastidiously well-groomed, obviously sure of herself in every detail, is the woman whose habits of cleanliness include a knowledge of feminine hygiene. This intimate phase of every woman's toilette is too often neglected, through lack of knowledge of the daintiness, self-assurance and poise it brings. Every modern woman should know the facts about feminine hygiene. So much of beauty, charm and self-confidence is lost to the woman who remains ignorant of these facts so vital to her…
Lysol's "Why don't they invite that nice Mrs. J____?" 1956.
Mrs. J---- is pretty, poised and friendly. You'd think that both men and women would like to talk to her, like to have her around. But she's careless about "the one unforgivable fault." So she's seldom invited back a second time. Any woman may be the victim of "embarrassing odor" without realizing it. For a douche is ineffective unless it both cleanses and deodorizes...
