Gentleman's traveling companion - dated 1727 - Seemingly complete, the silver and fish-skin case had several inscriptions and dates, including 1727, 1777, and 1875, the case encloses a pencil, tooth pick, fruit knife, ear sprout, tweezers, and other items. H: 4 in.

A 19th Century Harlequin etui set, comprising - 22ct gold niello work bodkin case, 90mm x 10mm, a similarly handled open work braddle, 80mm x 15mm, and a ribbon threader with steel loop, 65mm x 10mm, all finely decorated with dragonflies, insects and birds within scrolling vine, a replacement rose and yellow coloured gold metal thimble (unmarked but tests as 18ct gold), and a replacement pair of gilt scissors, contained in shell shaped and domed red Morocco leather gilt tooled case

A GEORGE II ROCOCO SILVER ETUI - UNMARKED, CIRCA 1750 - Chased on one side with a courting couple seated in a chariot pulled by putti, the reverse with a man sitting at a table with a pair of candlesticks & an open book, also decorated with scrolls and architecture, a pair of flaming hearts & a pair of love birds with mottos L'Amour l'Amitie les unit & Ils brulent d'un même Feu, complete with nine fittings including scissors, ivory aide-memoire, snuff spoon & ruler, 3 ½ in. long (9 cm.)
A Gilt Metal and Carnelian Etui, possibly english, circa 1760, of elongated spool form, decorated with rococo scrolls and floral swags, the hinged cover opening to a fitted interior with scissors, bodkin and knife, the base with screw-off carnelian seal carved with Cupid pouring water on a flaming heart, and revealing a thimble and spool. Height 4 1/8 inches.
