The pattern Italian Dinner was inspired by fruit and vegetable plants from Italy. Stems, leaves, fruit and vegetables as well as an olive branch adorn the tree branches in the vertical band of the pattern. The horizontal stream filled with yellow striped red mullet, squid, clams and lobster balances the pattern. The red mullet gained notoriety in antiquity for its beautiful colour and delicate taste. Josef Frank designed this pattern in 1943-1945.
