Recipe for Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix- 2 Tbsp dried parsley, 1 tsp dried dill, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp dried basil,   1/2 tsp pepper. Add dried spices to  a bowl and gently stir. Store in ziplok bag, or canning jar. To make dressing   whisk together 1/3 cup mayo with approx 1/4 milk. Add 1 tbsp seasoning. Add salt to taste. Makes approx 4 tbsp of dressing. Can store in fridge up to 3 days.

Authentic Hummus- Ingredients:  1 can (19 oz) chickpeas, drained & rinsed. (OR soak & cook 6 oz of dried chickpeas), 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tbsp tahini, 2 cloves garlic, chopped, 1/2 tsp ground cumin, 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper,  3 tbsp water (opt'l). In a food processor, blend chickpeas. Add lemon juice, olive oil, tahini, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper and blend. Add a little water to thin if desired. Scrape into serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
