One thing I wished I had known BEFORE I ran my first half marathon, was: 1. Never wear a lace thing while running long distances. (ouch!) Desitin was my best friend for a week. lol 2. It's not about the time, but the journey. 3. Make sure your ipod is properly charged. 4. The run was a great time for God and I to talk. 5. There are no taxis waiting to take me to the finish line. FINISH the run no matter how tired yo think you are. I finished my first half under 3 hours. YAY me!
