Cleaning Schedule

Little Green Notebook: My Cleaning Closet Overhaul!

Stores quite a bit and takes very little space.

Thread Organization

Why do we use a whole drawer for this, when OBVIOUSLY this is a far superior way of storage?

Put Owner Manuals in a 3 ring binder with their receipts.

I've done it before, but haven't since we moved to this house. I need the reminder to get back to doing it! If you have everything that would stay with your house if you sold it just leave the binder for the new owner! Our last house came with a binder and it was fabulous--we knew how old everything was!

Oh I don't have it organized that way. I actually have five huge binders (that's how much stuff we have manuals for). One for kitchen stuff, one for home stuff, one for electronics, and one for outside things, and one for baby/toy warranties. I just get rid of the manuals when we sell an item or get rid of it.

The 1"x2"s that are painted with chalkboard paint to label each section to keep the shelves organized.

Beautiful organization website- inspiration for days off

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets tired of unstacking all my pans to get to the 9x13s. Love this idea

Pick your chores and allowance

Freezing buttermilk cubes. What a great idea because I never use a whole carton!

Chalk painted lids to help organize any room in the house.

This is so smart I will always do this from now on

Every January turn all of the hangers in your closet backwards, like this. It takes about 60 seconds: Each time you wear an item, hang it back up in the normal fashion, which takes zero effort to remember or do. In June, any item that is still hanging backwards has not been worn in 6 months, donate it to Goodwill unless you can come up with a good reason to save it. Done and done!
