For back fence...Limelight hydrangeas. They grow up to 8 ft tall, can grow in full sun or shade and can tolerate dry soil. Beautiful!

Didn't know whether to put this in outdoor spaces folder or house folder! I just love this front yard full of flowers. Think they really pop with neutral color house. Would not be as vibrant next to a red brick house, for example.

Do this in the fall. Spring bulbs in Pots: store the potted bulbs in an unheated garage or storage room. You'll need to water every few weeks since the pots won't have access to rainfall. In addition to small pots, pack bulbs "shoulder-to-shoulder" in big containers for an abundant display in spring. Toss aside the spacing recommendations so you can get as many bulbs into the container that will fit.

Knockout roses and hostas planted along fence.. Love for the side of our house. I would probably do Hydrangea or Peonies, but I love this concept, and will definetly attempt this this summer...
