Nature Scavenger Hunt for when we are camping with kids

Time-out bottles. Fill a bottle with 3/4 water, one bottle of glitter glue, & ultra fine glitter. Then send this bottle with your child to timeout and they can watch it settle to calm them. Once the glitter is settled their time is up.

Cut up pipe-cleaners and place them in a bottle. Use a magnet to manipulate them. kids will stay busy for hours.

Finger paint

Take a 2 liter soda bottle, and poke holes in it. Hook your hose up to it, toss over a tree branch and turn on the water!

Panning for Silver and Gold - Paint 20-30 small rocks with non-toxic silver and gold paint. Bury in your backyard sand box. Send the kids out back with their own panning supplies: old colanders and beach toys!

Keep them busy for hours! A block of ice with treasure frozen inside and a hammer. Great for those 100+ degree summers!

Weather: Fill the cup with water. Put shaving cream on top for a cloud. Explain that when clouds get really heavy with water, it rains! Then put blue food coloring on top of the cloud, and watch it rain.
