This two-part log house was built by Edward Cox, who moved to northeast Tennessee from Maryland shortly after his conversion to Methodism by Bishop Francis Asbury in 1773. He began conducting regular worship services in this house - they were probably the first Methodist services in what is now Tennessee. Bishop Asbury was a guest at the Cox house on five of his eleven trips into the area. Located in Bluff City, Tn.
