Congo sofa designed by Theo Ruth in the early 1950s for Artifort.Very rare model, marked with the original metal Artifort label.The sofa is newly upholstered with a fantastic herringbone cream/beige wool fabric. The original spring cushion of the seating is still there, they were still good and there's a new thin layer of foam on top of it to make it even more comfortable.The sofa consists of 2 parts that nicely fits in eachother like the African Congo chairs.It has solid beech wood legs.Ic
