Guaranteed Ride Home
UNH's Guaranteed Ride Home Service: To make it easier for you to pick and use one of the several alternate transportation programs to campus, without fear that you may get "stuck" at UNH in an emergency. Faculty/Staff or student commuters who have taken Wildcat Transit, a carpool, vanpool, or rideshare may use the service. This free service is for emergencies, not casual rides or scheduling difficulties. Participants may have up to two emergency rides per semester. (Photo: vintage car)
Carpooling
UNH Transportation reserves a parking area for people who carpool. (Vintage photo) To encourage carpooling, UNH offers a Carpool Parking Program which helps with the conservation resources—and parking spaces. The designated carpool area is in the Campus Crossing Visitor Lot* (formerly C Lot) near the MUB in the heart of campus. Two or more holders of valid UNH commuter or faculty/staff parking permits are eligible to take advantage of the program.
Cycling for Sustainability
UNH facilities staff have taken the idea of “bike to work” to a whole new distance — about 600 miles, actually — and they’re hoping to inspire others across campus to do the same.

UNH Compost Operation
The #UNH #compost operation uses pulped pre- & post-consumer food wastes from UNH Dining , an innovative, #sustainable practice that diverts 25k + pounds/month of material which would otherwise go directly into the #DurhamNH waste stream.
