Distressed Textiles Design - stitched layers of fabric, with irregular cuts to reveal the layers & textures beneath - wadded quilting; fabric manipulation techniques // Daniela Maschera

Shop now. Chloe Coat. Seventies French journalist Anne-France Dautheville's motorbike voyage from Paris to Afghanistan inspired Chloé's FW16 collection, which combines Eastern craft with classic, vintage French style. A painterly palette of dusky hued, multi-textured wools is tied into the striped crochet interior using a traditional rag-rug technique. An oversized silhouette enhances the relaxed and Bohemian vibe.

artist-Marit Fujiwara uses stitch and fabric manipulation to build up textures with a marbled surface. Would be interesting to combine this with my other marbling experiments to create new textures

Stunning piece full of emotion by the great textile artist and master Gabriella Farkas, completed in Hungary, 1975
