Angkor Siam Reap, Cambodia The ruins of Angkor, located amid forests and farmland near modern day Siam Reap, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Temples of the area number more than one thousand and range from non-descript piles of brick rubble to the impressive Angkor Wat. While many of the temples have been restored, Ta Prohm (above) has intentionally been left as it was found.
