About Villa
The sanctuary of the Madonna of Bagno Just a few steps away from Villa Senaia you can find a Sanctuary dedicated to the Holy Mary, dating back to 1200s. The legend narrates of an appearance of the Virgin to two shepherdesses and a gushing miracoulous spring that healed ill people throughout the 1500s. These events led to a deeply-rooted devotion of the Castiglionese people and to continuous improvement of the building till 1877.

Few kilometres away from the Villa you can pick a choice of Tuscany's world famous landscapes and Tuscan medieval towns like: Castiglione d’Orcia, San Quirico d’Orcia, Montalcino, Pienza.

Villa Senaia - Welcome in Tuscany
"Il gran freddo di Gennaio, il maltempo di Febbraio." Literally translates to "Great cold in January, bad weather in February". The second month of the year was consacrated by Romans to Febris, goddess healing from malaria, therefore during the whole period there would be purification rituals representing the reawaken of nature from the long winter. In Val di Chiana this rituals were deeply rooted as agricultural traditions since Etruscan time; Catholic Church Saints gradually stood in for them.

Civita di Bagnoregio
It is known as the "dying town", but the epithet should not discourage visitors: Civita di Bagnoregio, near Viterbo, is counted among the most beautiful villages in Italy and it is a jewel perched on a rock of tufa thinned by erosion of relentless rain, wind and two streams flowing in the valleys below. The center overlooks a wide valley between the hills and seems suspended in the air, in an atmosphere of total isolation with the surrounding area. Unique and fascinating, Civita di Bagnoregio i

Piazza del Duomo (Piazza dei Miracoli)
Pisa's Piazza del Duomo, also known as Piazza dei Miracoli (Piazza of Miracles) is located north of the Arno river along a no longer existing tributary, the Auser. Unlike the paved piazza's typical of Italy, the Piazza del Duomo is an expansive green grassy field dominated by three monumental works of architecture in luminous dressed stone and white marble. They are the renown cathedral, baptistery, and campanile. While these three functions had been merged in to one church in northern Europe, t
